Large summit and potentially easy drive up, worth 8 points
I was hoping to be able to drive where the red X is marked on the map below and walk from there, and I am sure this is possible as there is a good road track at that point, but I found myself on inaccessible and uneven stony track that would have damaged my hire car (it was a small family car, not 4WD). Instead I started at the blue X:
The trail was easy to follow and after a fairly steep climb in the forrest I reached the wider road marked on the map, where some shaded picnic tables offered some relie ffrom the sun. The final section to the summit was straightforward from here. The path emerges at a mountain hut, but the summit is further along, marked with an impressive statue.
I attached my Sotapole to a bush for stability and restrained it against the wind with the yellow cord. The inverted V could then be fully deployed.
I managed 14 QSOs on 20m, including 1 S2S (SV/AT-033)
